Cleaning a house with pets

We all love our four-legged friends but whether its Charlie the pug or Bella the cat, they can play havoc with our cleaning routine.

One of the biggest problems that comes with owning a pet is the fur which sheds over surfaces and furniture so firstly, make sure your pet is regularly groomed and brushed to minimise the amount of fur they deposit.

Look for a pet-appropriate vacuum cleaner with a strong suction to pick up fur and make sure it is suitable for furniture as well. Day to day, keep your Cloth by SPh2ONGE handy to pick up stray fur. Regardless of how often you clean, it is worth doing a deep clean of your carpets every few months to dig out those deep-rooted fibres.

When it comes to interior furnishings, look for durable fabrics and stain-resistant materials and cover areas where your pet likes to sleep with a sheet or blanket which can be easily removed and thrown into the washing machine.

Clean their toys and beds regularly as these can harbour germs; most toys and fabrics can go in the washing machine but if not, wash by hand in the sink and leave to dry outside to get rid of any excess odours.

Lastly, keep a caddy ready by your door filled with an Cloth by SPh2ONGE, old towel, and water so you can easily clean off your dog before they track mud into your lovely clean floors!

  • I have just moved into a new home, and the previous owner obviously had a hairy animal living with him. I have a couple of sph2onge clothes for general cleaning, and a wipe around with them got rid of the hair. I have awful allergies and i wouldn’t have been able to live here otherwise.

  • Siberian Husky owner and boy does he shed fur. Fur gets everywhere. I was at my wits end until I discovered sph2onge. Carpets, clothes, flooring, dog toys were covered in fur. Now a wipe over with sph2onge cloth and the fur is gone. My sons school uniform is now fur free going to school, no more chasing him with lint rollers. 😂

  • We have 3 dogs!! Two don’t shed a lot of hair but the other….. regular grooming doesn’t do a great deal, I used my Sph2onge cloth on my regularly vacumed stairs and couldn’t believe the amount of hair collected (they’re not even allowed upstairs) I’ve used it on my leather sofa’s and it’s brilliant there too, actually captures it rather than moves it to somewhere else, after watching your story this morning, I am going to use it on the dog herself and see what we can remove, fingers crossed. Love your products, love your stories etc, keep it up Chris.

  • I use the cloth for cleaning my stair it is amazing fair better thank the squeegy trick it was lifting the fibres of my carpet. Plus it cleans the carpet as your getting the dog hair off. I also have a hose connected under my sink and it can leak when click the hose off so I now put my Sph2onge underneath and it absorbs all the water. I also hitch mg car with this it’s amazing for dash boards an interior. Don’t have the sponge yet just the clothe but see the pink one is in stock off to get it now. God I need a life haha it’s just so good for everything honestly.

  • Love this! My cat loves water so it’s handy to know I can use my Sph2onge to get him dry!
