Community Award

The Community Award honours remarkable individuals who have demonstrated selflessness, generosity and kindness in their actions to make someone else’s life better.

Here at SPh2ONGE, we know that community is king. We might be more busy and digitally connected than ever before, but we want to celebrate those often unnoticed, yet priceless acts going on in our villages, towns and cities - things which really improve the quality of life for those in need.

Perhaps you know the person who makes sure an elderly neighbour a Sunday roast each week or the one who gets up on Saturday morning to coach a children’s sports team for free. Maybe you and your family have benefitted from a local fundraising hero or from someone who has set up or runs a project to help those less fortunate. Whatever this person does or has done for your community - we want to hear their story!

The SPh2ONGE Community Award aims to highlight people from all walks of life, of all ages, and from all over the United Kingdom.

These people would say that they are ordinary, but we know their acts are truly extraordinary.

The winner of this quarterly Community Award will be honoured with a beautiful glacier trophy which will stand proudly in any home, as well as a years’ supply of SPh2ONGE products. Their story will also be highlighted in the media to inspire others.

If you know someone who deserves this award - or perhaps their actions have touched your life - then enter them below.

A massive congratulations to Summer Taylor - an NHS Health Care Assistant from Plymouth!
Summer, 20, was nominated for the award by her partner, Chelsea, for her selflessness, generosity and hard work with elderly patients at the hospital where she works as well as caring for her own family. Her partner Chelsea told us: “Summer truly is a wonder woman. Many of her patients are elderly and don’t have family nearby, Summer always goes above and beyond for them: she’ll bring their washing home which she’ll do, iron and take back into the hospital for them the next day. If it’s their birthday, she’ll make the time to go out and buy a little birthday cake with candles and a present which she’ll wrap up just to make their birthday special.” “She will even miss her lunch and break to spend time with families who have lost loved ones, having a cup of tea with them and talking. She doesn’t do any of it for the gratitude, it’s utterly selfless - because she’s just an incredibly kind and caring person.” Chelsea said: “She barely has any time for herself and those five minutes at the end of the day before bed, she loves to spend on Instagram looking at cleaning products to make our new house sparkly and clean! She finds cleaning therapeutic and anything Mrs Hinch loves, she’ll look up!”  Summer - who also cares for her father - wins a gorgeous SPh2ONGE glacier trophy (which she can obviously keep sparkling with a cloth by SPh2ONGE as well as a year’s supply of fantastic SPh2ONGE products - all in our gorgeous brand new packaging! CONGRATULATIONS to Summer from all us at SPh2ONGE!  Happy Christmas!
